Rev Brodbent, PhD. holds a Diplomatic status with the National Board of Christian Clinical Therapists and is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and Supervisor, Temperament Therapist with the National Christian Counselors Association. In addition, he is a lifetime member of the Military Chaplain’s Association. Received an Honorary Juris Doctor from the American Justice Foundation. Completed African American Cultural Certification Program in 2012.
Dr. Brodbent’s continuing education includes School Crisis Response Training, Critical Incident Stress Management, Group Crisis Intervention, Post Traumatic Stress for the military and law enforcement, African American Cultural Competency, and teen-age suicide prevention.
He also holds CE credits in “Critical Incident Intervention” and “School Crisis Response” through UMBC & AACC for the assistance to law enforcement or disaster relief organizations. He recently served in Joplin, MO as a part of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team.
Dr. Brodbent received the coveted “Servant Leadership Award” in 2012 for “Excellence In Care Giving” by the Board of Christian Professional & Pastoral Counselors (AACC).
