Serving those in need with the love of Jesus in measurable ways. His Family Services is a non-profit Christian ministry serving alongside our Church leaders. Every now and then, life can hit so hard that it shakes us at our very core. When this happens, it can be helpful to have a safe place to sort through such unsettling or devastating situations. Those that seek counseling will be challenged to change self-defeating behaviors, thought patterns and mindsets. They will be guided and supported to replace them with new found hope.
Christian Counseling at His Family Services is conducted by a Professional Counselor who is also trained in Biblical counseling. The therapy is an integrated approach of psychological technique and theory with Biblical Truth that encompasses prayer, scripture, and spiritual disciplines. This approach is under the belief that emotions, thoughts, behaviors, biology, and spiritual formation/beliefs are woven together into a unique personality that makes up who you are and helps to define your purpose. This integrative approach allows for a dynamic and fluid learning style that is best suited for your circumstances and needs. “And you shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your mind and with all of your strength.” — Mark 12:30
I am a graduate of Liberty University and hold a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. I have also walked as a believer in Christ since 1991. My heart and passion are to help those who are struggling with various challenges in their life story such as, depression, abandonment, abuse, childhood trauma, marriage, and family struggles. Additionally, I counsel from a Christian Biblical foundation and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as my theoretical approach. I believe that this integrative approach can promote lasting healing. I will walk with you (2Cor. 1:3-5) in your time of need so that you can receive comfort and guidance that can bring you restorative healing through the therapy process.
