I work with self-pay adults, couples, and organizational groups, of any faith or none at all. I offer a reduced rate for pre-purchased packages. While I am a Christian, and I offer Christ-focused counseling from prayer to deliverance, you do not need to have any particular belief to benefit from my services. If you are not sure what you believe, that's ok, too. I will meet you where you are and work in ways you are comfortable with.
I have more than three decades of experience successfully helping clients release trauma, reveal their dreams, achieve their goals, restore their relationships, and confidently trust God with their salvation and their lives. My specialty is NeuroTheology, with an in-depth understanding of the science and neurobiology of the Bible and how God wired us to release the pain of the past and embrace the good life He planned for each of us. I know how to take our thoughts captive, renew our minds, and be free, and I'm going to teach you how to successfully change your mind and your life. I have personal and professional experience with grief, post-abortion stress syndrome, escaping a narcissistic relationship, and food/substance abuse. I can relate to what you've been through while empowering you to move forward, taking what's good, and releasing the rest. I excel in helping clients and corporate groups recognize the negative emotions, disempowering beliefs, and traumatic memories that have overwritten our God-designed core programming and limited our spiritual lives, relationships, careers, and finances. Rev. Dr. Karen R. Liddell is a best-selling author and one of the pioneers of Neurotheology -- recognizing and harnassing the Biblical and God-created scientific principles that govern our mind-body-spirit experience. As a Personal and Professional Development Coach, she is a National Christian Counselor's Association (NCCA) Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor with advanced board certification in Marriage and Family Therapy, Child and Adolescent Therapy, and Temperament Counseling. While working as a behavioral health therapist for inpatient clients in GA, she certified in Dual Diagnosis with Addiction and since certified in EFT (similar to EMDR), NLP, Conversational Hypnotherapeutic method and trained in many facets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic methods, including Gestalt, REBT, Logotherapy, Grief and Loss, and more. She graduated from Valdosta State University with an MS in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Counseling. Her grad school department head invited her to join his practice administering intelligence and adaptive functioning evaluations to children with autism. While raising her family of 7 children, she began writing books, speaking to churches and organizations about spiritual and physical wellness, and volunteering as a grief support facilitator for The Compassionate Friends after the death of her son. In 2016 God undeniably called Dr. Liddell to Christian counseling. She attended Koinonia Institute Bible College and then finished her Ph.D. at Colorado Theological Seminary. She immediately recognized that the same concepts she learned while studying neuroplasticity and memory reconsolidation techniques were encoded in Scriptural instructions to take our thoughts captive and renew our minds.
